Bosses at Northumberland based, social enterprise DAWN Advice say their latest recruit will help the charity meet the increase in demand for its advice services.
As DAWN Advice's new Contracts and Relationship Manager Matt Goldsmith, 38, will oversee the services run by the organisation's existing contract providers while exploring new contract opportunities for the charity.
Through his new role Matt will ensure people accessing the charity's telephone advice services receive the best and most appropriate support by working alongside partner organisations - including firms involved with the charity's Employee Assistance Programme and the Legal Services Commission.
Matt will join DAWN Advice's head office in Seaton Burn and will work closely with its Chief Executive as the charity continues to expand and to help the organisation meet its main target of supporting people with legal issues.
Commenting on his new position, Matt said: "This is a real growth period for DAWN Advice with lots of new contract opportunities opening up for us to explore and develop. It is a difficult time for many people throughout the country so it's important that we are able to offer an outstanding service to help them with their problems, not only through our telephone advice line but also through our contract providers.
"The rewards of working within the charitable sector are unlimited and I'm definitely looking forward to the challenges which working in such a sector will bring," Matt added.
Liz Chadwick, Chief Executive of DAWN Advice, said: "Matt is a welcome addition to the team, especially at a time when we are experiencing a substantial rise in the number of calls which we receive every week. It is vital, in order to ensure that we are able to meet the increase in demand, that we have the appropriate contracts in place so we can continue to provide the best possible telephone advice service - Matt will definitely help us to meet this goal."
