Legal Advice

DAWN Advice helped pioneer the delivery of legal services by telephone, regardless of the distance. Since 1994 we have delivered specialist legal advice and casework through telephone and distance-based support. Our work in this area contributed to the introduction in July 2004 of a national legal telephone service, CLS Direct, now known as Community Legal Advice.

We have worked in close partnership with colleagues at the Legal Services Commission on the development and service delivery of Community Legal Advice and we are one of its main contractors, delivering advice on a wide range of social welfare issues.

DAWN's work on behalf of Community Legal Advice is primarily for people on low incomes who are eligible for legal help.

Although we will be happy to advise anyone who contacts us, we may need to ask some questions about your income and household details to establish whether we can take your case forward.

Should we be unable to assist or if you feel that you would prefer to speak to a legal advisor in your area, we will be able to run a search to find a suitable organisation.
